Keyboard shortcuts are really about muscle memory and repetition until they become ingrained as a habit. But with so much design software to choose from, there’s no way you can memorize every shortcut.

And that’s the beauty of Shortcuts.design. This site offers the largest list of shortcuts for every major design program. Recently they even added shortcuts for dev IDEs like Sublime Text.

From the homepage, you can browse from 3 different categories: design programs, dev programs, and miscellaneous.

As you might expect, the design category has way more keyboard shortcuts than anything else. And the crazy thing is this site isn’t even complete!

At the time of this writing you can browse keyboard shortcuts for the following programs:

  • Photoshop
  • Illustrator
  • InDesign
  • Adobe XD
  • Sketch
  • Principle
  • Figma
  • InVision

Many other popular design programs are listed but with their icons greyed out. So these programs are clearly on the docket for their own pages in the future.

If you delve into one of the shortcut pages you’ll find blocks of shortcuts organized by function. General shortcuts, typography, layer management, it’s all here.

You can even do a CTRL+F search to find the action you’d like to shortcut.

And I’ve gotta say it’s great to see designers releasing these kinds of resources for free. The more we contribute to the design community the easier it gets for newcomers to enter. This in turn helps the community grow faster and build a solid foundation for future designers.

Visit the main website and have a look around. I think it’s a handy resource for mastering your shortcuts and it can help all designers regardless of your preferred programs.
